How do I create a new event and upload photos?
Log in to your Photographer Dashboard, click the "Create Event" button, and enter the event details (e.g. event name, date, client reference details). Once created, you can drag and drop your photo folders directly into the web uploader, or use our desktop sync tool. The AI will start indexing and matching faces automatically.
What photo formats and file size limits are recommended?
We support standard JPG, JPEG, and PNG image formats. For optimal AI facial analysis speed and quicker uploads, we recommend resizing files to between 2MB and 8MB. While our system supports larger files (up to 50MB per photo), compressing your images beforehand ensures a much smoother upload experience.
How does the watermarking system work for downloads?
In your Event Configuration tab, you can upload a custom PNG watermark (with transparent background) and choose its positioning. PicTik automatically overlays this watermark on preview photos matched to guests. You can lock high-resolution downloads until the client makes a payment or manually disable watermarks when you are ready to release the final gallery.
Can I import client phone lists for WhatsApp delivery?
Yes, you can upload a CSV spreadsheet containing guest names and mobile numbers. Alternatively, you can share the Event QR code. When guests scan the QR code and register with a selfie, our system links their phone number. As soon as photos matching their face are uploaded, they will receive a WhatsApp message with their private matched gallery link.
How does the upload credit system work?
PicTik operates on a credit system based on usage. One credit is consumed per successfully matched and delivered guest photo. You can buy credit bundles (e.g. 1,000 credits, 5,000 credits, or 10,000 credits) directly in your Billing Dashboard. Unused credits never expire and roll over to subsequent events.
